Reporting to the Medical Director your key responsibilities will include:
· Working alongside the Medical and Brand team members across functions (e.g. Medical Communication).
· Preparation and consolidation of new clinical data into either new or re-approved standard letters.
· Keep abreast of emerging medical/ scientific information and the potential impact on the business (i.e. horizon scanning activities).
· Support brand teams with up to date information on products, disease areas and competitor activity.
· Triage all incoming inquiries, determine priority and escalate complex medical inquiries appropriately to therapeutic teams or management.
· Provision of information to identify and support business development opportunities/ product launches and contribute to the development of marketing campaigns.
· Assist in the maintenance and development of Medical Information IT and Library resources.
· Identification and documentation of adverse event and product quality complaints following departmental procedure.
· Cover Medical Information booth at scientific congresses (where appropriate).
· Participates in periodic weekly schedule of 24hour emergency medical information phone coverage (where appropriate).
· Timely, accurate approval of promotional material in accordance with the relevant Codes of Practice (where appropriate).
You’ll have been involved within a similar role with senior experience working on a range of products within the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate will have life sciences / pharmacy degree or equivalent and experience within a medical information department is essential.
